Las Vegas - Bellagio Fountains and The Paris Hotel

I have been to Vegas a few times, but haven't had a chance to really explore the city. I always thought Las Vegas was all about the gambling and I never had any real desire to go. I went a few years ago and realized that you don't have to drink (although I did A LOT this trip) or gamble, there is just really a million things to see and do.

On my last full day of my Las Vegas trip, we decided to just explore the city a bit. In the evening we ended up at the Bellagio Hotel, just in time for the fountain show.

 

I have a really hard time figuring out my camera with these light conditions...so none of the pictures are that great, but seeing the fountain show was awesome.

Across the street was the Paris Hotel and someone had the bright idea to go to the restaurant inside the "Eiffel Tower"

Before riding the elevator up to the restaurant, we were told there was a dress code and the boys had to wear pants. Not to fret, they would lend us some. (I Loved this SO MUCH!)

I took a few pictures while we waited for the boys. We were extremely underdressed...but decided we'd stay since we were already here.

I've always wanted to order a Kir Royal, so I figured, Why not? I'm only at an extremely expensive restaurant where it will cost me five times as much as a different restaurant.

 I didn't like it. I liked it even less after I found out it was $24USD

I am like, REALLY not a fan of French food. I found an appetizer that had Maine lobster and thought I'd give it a try. It was about... five or six bites. $24USD. That's like $4USD a bite.

 My cousin ordered this and he swears it tasted good, but it looks horrific.

 I was feeling rich so I ordered dessert. Not sure why but this was a bargain price of $12USD?

 I thought about an after dinner drink....and quickly changed my mind.

Overall, the restaurant service was pretty brutal. The food was good, but very expensive and nothing fantastic, but the restaurant inside was really nice. We had a good time, even if we created our own little trailer park section of the restaurant.

The highlight of the night? The boys wearing their borrowed pants. The one on the right actually coat checked his shorts. It could have got a little ugly since the pants were size 40 and could have easily been "pantsed". But after the Kir Royal, I was feeling too classy.
