140 days!

Image
Here are two not so lovely pictures of myself, but I like the general concept. After 140 days, I have managed to lose.......15.6lbs. Four and a half months. Has it been hard? Not really. But I also have been losing at a super, super slow rate. And, I eat junk from time to time. Perhaps too much. Even though I don't see a different in my body (I didn't take before/after pictures), my clothes fit better or are too big and I just feel better. Less like I'm going to explode out of my skin. . End goal? I don't know. For health reasons, another 14.4 (Let's just call this "Goal Weight A"), for pure vanity (well, and a bit of health) 24.4lbs (Goal Weight B"). I remember when I was weighed Goal Weight B and I worked my freaking ass off and I just couldn't get under that number without being too restrictive. I want to live like a normal life, not always be consumed by calories, blah blah, running, blah blah. When I was at Goal Weight A, I had (an ext...

Weight Loss Updates

I miss blogging but I end up starting writing a post and then it stays in my Drafts folder until I delete it. So I'm copying a good idea of another blog that I read and trying to finish and post all of my drafts.  Like my China trip? I have put up 2 or 3 posts. We did so many cool things and I have draft posts but I never feel like finishing them! I like doing picture posts, so I'm going to try to get back on that!! Anyway, a few nights ago, I tried to shoot a little video for the blog  to show where I live. The iPhone video quality really impresses me, but my video skills do not. I kept feeling motion sickness every time I watched the video. But it's something that I'd like to get into. Sure I post pictures of what it looks like here, but videos are so much more descriptive and can really show what it's like. I thought I'd start with our living quarters, then maybe the Tiki Bar, and then some areas in town. The areas in town will be difficult since we are ...

Italy Bike Trip - Day 5 with Pictures

Image
So Day 4 on the trip I was a drunk sloth . And enjoyed every minute of it. I slept so well and woke up pretty early, ready for breakfast. They had fantastic fruit, yogurt, nuts, all kinds of wonderful things that I just think are so incredibly fantabulous. I saw my guide eating (he had taken out one of our tour guests that wanted more mileage for the day - what a nut job!!) and just decided, that, yeah, I was pretty much done with biking. I loved the hotel, I loved the little town, and I loved not having pain every time I sat down (okay, I still had pain, but not like 'sitting on a bike seat' pain). I decided to eat breakfast, have a nap, and then go exploring.  So...this is a pretty small village, and my exploring didn't last very long. But I got out walking and taking random pictures (MUST STOP USING AUTO FUNCTION AND LEARN HOW TO USE THIS FREAKING CAMERA!!).  I would take pictures every time I saw a sign like this in case I got lost, I c...

Proper Eating Pact

I have a really bad habit of either: I have a really bad habit of either: not eating not eating enough eating too much eating too many sweets/junk Since I'd like to lose a few pounds by Christmas time, I made a pact with myself that I'd eat properly. I run and am active enough but really need to focus on eating proper meals. It's hard sometimes when we work weird hours and get tired. I'm pretty good at staying active (I basically need to for the endorphin/stress relief stuff), but not good at eating properly. Looks like my pact with myself will have to start on Monday. I just got home from work. I'm fighting off a thirteen hour time difference, so I want to go to bed. I'm too tired to eat. Instead of not eating and waking up in the middle of the night starving, I tried my best for tonight. A package of almond butter (roughly two tablespoons), a protein bar, and a small glass of juice. It's pretty much all that I can stomach. Supper of champions... ...
